They might be called smileys, emoticons, or smiley faces and you can use them to show how you feel online, and they are free!
Smileys uses to be simple typed characters from your keyboard, like :).
Now you can get all kinds of cool smileys, including 3D, animated and talking smileys. There a thousands to choose from.
Of course you can use your smileys on MySpace, Facebook, email, IM, MSN spaces, blogs and pretty much anything you can think of.
One small problem is choosing from the many sites out there offfering free smileys.
Don't worry, it's not that hard.
Looking around the web, I've found that the best sources for downloading your free animated smileys are CrawlerSmileys, FreezeSmileys & SmileyCentral.
While they all have lots to choose from it's really a matter of taste.
I like SmileyCentral, but that's just me, you may prefer one of the others.
They are all free, so you can check them all out them and keep your favorite.
So here is what I suggest: Just pick one of the three and try it. Don't like it? Just try another (maybe bookmark this page so you can get back here).
Easy, right?
